A humbling, but amusing experience:

Last night at work as I got bored near the
end of my shift, I posted a challenge on the
"50% a month" thread. These guys were getting
on my nerves suggesting that rapid trading
can make you a ton of money.

Anyway, I figured my stuff was up 5% yesterday,
who knows, maybe a few things of mine are starting
a run.

So I post my current stocks etc and boy, was that
bad karma. I see I'm down 5% today as all my stuff
has ticked down to the bid...and in a few cases
just some plain ol lousy weakness--in ariaw for
instance.

Anyway, my real stock account is at +15% for the
year...and I wanted to point that out, cause it
bothers me a bit that somehow my name is at the
top of this contest list (or at least it was) and
I am not doing half as good at this game as on paper.

As long as I am here--I wanted to point out that it
does look like the ariaw's are going to, in time,
go to zero. My thought was that Ariad might extend
the expiraton...but clearly there is selling going
on...now 1/8th. I've got a couple grand in those in the
real world...and I will say that after today, I'm
not holding out much hope for an extension. So...the
effect of those alone should take me down to 3rd or
4th place next time the results are tallied!
