El: There is a legitimate way you can raise your aristocratic status. You can buy a title to one of the Lords of the Manor. I can look at the list in the next Sotheby's auction. I think Lord of the Manor of Ramsbottom might be available for about £5,000. You would be entitled to be known as Lord Ramsbottom but would not have a vote in the House of Lords.

(I'm editing that message because I just realised that people on the Yahoo thread will probably call you "Lord Sheepass")
