Hi Ausdauer - Did you notice that Mr. Welby (Co-Fonder) will assume the role of V.P. of Marketing...immediately.

From the news release:

"...Prior to becoming Vice President of Marketing, Webley served as AFC's Vice President of Advanced Research and Development and Chief Technical Officer...." and Mr. Welby has prior experience "...at Lynch Communications in Nevada, where he worked as senior development engineer on the S-300 digital loop carrier...".

==================================================================

Isn't it interesting that SBC (once the Ameritech merger is approved) will service the Nevada Bell and the Pacific Bell regions among others. I believe Pac Bell currently uses AFCI's equipment. It seems to this investor that if I were SBC and planning to "eventually" build out a new local carrier loop xDSL service in Nevada, I would want someone with Mr. Welby's experience working with my engineers.

I know that AFCI's new Marketing V.P. would be the front runner to land a long term SBC contract "if available". He knows the technology and has experience in building a similar system in Nevada with Lynch Communications.

More food for thought and speculation on my part but it appears that AFCI has raised the stakes up another notch in trying to land a big Baby Bell contract.
