Now jlt are you referring to my "invitation" to 'ol Mitch Ratcliffe to come out and play "I ain't no economist but,..." with me. I thought it was issued in the best tradition of the school yard. I insulted his smarts, manhood and editing skills. We'll see if he takes a swing.

After today's news it might be hard for him to write installment number three of that three part rant. I don't doubt for a minute that he's revising number three as we speak to dismantle that Senate report. My suspicion is that it will make him more shrill in his insistence that by god nothing bad will happen...and once all those y2k expenses are over and done with and those monies placed back into production why we can expect growth in Year 2000...or whatever parrot-boy argument that all was about.
