OK boys and girls...here is the latest.... It seems the reason somebody or (somebodies) have been buying a lot of CPU today is that a rumor has surfaced that CPU's spinoff announcement will also be coupled with a "significant" announcement concerning the existing retail chain. I don't know what that means (perhaps CPU really is being folded into a larger retailer). I have speculated in the past about a possible buyout of CPU by SPLS..but this was simply my own thinking and nothing more. This current rumor has been handed to me by an a friend at a major brokerage. Again, this is RUMOR NOT FACT. I usually don't make a habit of posting rumors like this, but CPU's price/volume activity was unusual today in light of the very weak market - so this may explain why.
