Don't worry about the 3 - 4 point fluctuations in these stocks - look at the trend.

I got in ASND in the 20s and 30s, and it has rewarded me well. Given the exchange rate at which it is being acquired by LU (0.825), there is about $8 arb difference between in their prices., so you can effectively buy LU at a discount of about 8% by buying ASND. (I already have an naked option straddle to take advantage of this arb spread).

ASND mgt team has learnt their lessons very well (almost too well)with respect to managing the Street. I ay considering selling LU shares after the merger closes if I percieve that the telecom equip industry growth rate may slow, or I find the mgt team screwing up with respect to managing Street expectations (can't imagine that, though - LU is the most widely owned stock in the US after ATT, and their CEO is quite suave + it has, for now, a lock on the baby bell telecom needs). ASND brings the to the plate a variety of ISPs, which is very fast growing market. I would feel a little bit better about LU future if they figured out a way to keep Mory Ejabat on board. CSCO is trying to make a big deal about the fact that he will not be a part of the mgt. going forward.

Regards

Alok
