I don't have any technique Mark. Just gut instinct about a companys line of work. Maybe because I worked in business development and often had to sponsor projects and products for my company.....so although I don'tknow much about stock trading, I suppose I can smell a good product out.... I think CMGI has enormous potential....as does EBay and BCST. I missed the YHOO/AOL train till Sept. YHOO tanked to 59, and I just jumped in at 68...rest as they say, is history...I also got lucky with CSCO 4 years back ! Missed the early rise on DELL but penned it down June/July. The business model was great... Options were my friend. Its funny, but just when everyone was writing off CIEN at $13, I traded the @2 calls successfully between $2-5 every week. Can you imagine the monthly %age gain ? Then of course CIEN took off and I said goodbye... I lost a lot in Feb on DELL and TMCS (because I could not manage risks in such a large portfolio - just held on thru the losses)- so now I plan to siphon out the money and leave a 50-100K trading portfolio - other than that, its not really been very hard......also jumped in the IPO foray on TGLO and got burnt.
