I think the key word is assault here. In legalese,
assault is verbal abuse
only. Kendall did not deny that Clinton ever committed
battery or rape of Broadrick. Kendall is taking advantage
of the fact that most people when they think of assault
think of physical abuse. From a legal perspective, assault
is verbal abuse only. There's no denial that the President
battered Broadrick or even raped Broadrick. Kendall is
simply denying assault- legalese for verbal abuse. You
could literally beat the shit out of someone and rape
them without ever assaulting them.
