Hey Del, I didn't call you a conservative! I just asked this question--"By the same token, do you consider yourself a conservative because many conservatives share your beliefs?"
What is that old saying--"If the shoe fits, wear it?" So suit yourself!!
No, I do not support late term abortions when the fetus is severely deformed with no hope of correction, such as those born with no brain. I personally only support late-term abortions if the baby is dead, or the mother's survival is jeopardized. I have read many, many stories about new parents saying goodbye to infants who are not going to make it, holding them and talking to them, naming them and then burying them, going through a grief process. I think that is very healthy, and values and dignifies life even when life is not perfect. I think the late-term abortion process cheapens life.
Juanita Broaddick is going to be on Dateline NBC tonight, Del, telling her story about how Bill Clinton forcibly raped her when he was Attorney General of Arkansas in 1978. They delayed the segment for several weeks while their news people verified her story. Tom Brokaw, a liberal Democrat, said he would walk if they showed it, and the White House made threats to NBC as well. However, when news chief Tim Russert watched the five hours of raw footage, apparently it was so vivid and alarming that he was physically ill afterwards.
Tell me, do you think presidents who have committed violent felonies are still suitable for public service? Just where do you draw the line? |
