Alok,

I agree that your investment direction is optimal through the completion of the deal. I feel the need to comment only because, though Mory and his team of financial advisors negotiated a good deal for the company and has (along with Mr. Ashby) been able to right the listing ship over the past several quarters, he is more instrumental in his dealing with the access products than the core switching group. It is because of the Cascade products (and subsequent tie-ins to the Stratus SS7 technology) that Lucent purchased the company. With the strength of the Lucent management and the strong interest that this product line will get going forward, I expect that his departure will not be a negative. If you were to review the bulk of the press releases as well as the CC's during the earnings reports, I believe that you would find that they are biased towards his access product lines even though the margins are at the levels that they have been due to revenue and profit margins obtained by the Cascade products. With the new management in place and overdue visibilty given the people and products in this division, they will continue to flourish. Cisco and NN are trying to do whatever approach they can to crack the Ascend core switching stronghold with hype. I see no effect in this business after his departure.

Brian
