Well, thank you for the happy birthday wishes. I have gone around the sun fifty times now, and I can feel every revolution, for sure. Do any of the women here want to talk about turning fifty? It does seem like a very major transition. I also wonder if it is as much of a milestone for the men. I feel a little better today having survived the event--I was too depressed last night to even open my cards or anything, or eat warm blackberry cobbler, which I wanted more than cake. It was pretty good for breakfast, though. Today my husband and daughter got me very brightly colored wildflowers, which was sweet, and my husband hung the huge paper cutout star lantern they got me from Bali or somewhere in my bedroom. So the world is looking more cheerful tonight. Regarding Celebrex, I have a drug plan that allows me to get any prescription drug for $8.00. So cost is not a factor. I am very concerned about the bleeding/irritation problems NSAIDs cause. I read that thousands of deaths are attributable every year to them--I forgot the exact number but it was quite substantial.
