What a great conversation this is. Actually deserves kudos to all for your respective and articulate expressions of ideas. Frankly this thread is indeed a thread of sanity in a sometimes bizarre and frenetic world. To each of of you, thank you for your statements of beliefs and convictions in ways that, while not always in agreement with mine, are always courteous, well written, and simply a pleasure to be part of.
I am off to view a porcelain piece in a shop in Singapore. Collectibles are especially interesting now with the exchange rate and market conditions as they are. I am pillaging to the extent that my western antecedents would be proud. That it is performed over a tiny cup of Jasmine tea instead of a sword, and my victim will smile all the while, makes me no less guilty I suppose. Mea Culpa <G>
