Ratlong, I purchased the April 22.5 call options.
If you pull up the option table for the stock, the
figure for the last trade, 7 1/4 was mine. So come
late April if I decide to exercise the options,
total cost to me will be 29 3/4. As I already own
a hefty slug of stock here, not sure whether I'll
trade them or hold and exercise, as obviously a
gain in the stock to only 33 and change would
produce about a 50% return, which I feel is
doable at some point over the next two months.

Should I decide to exercise then I guess I better start
saving the pennies so that come April I can add those
shares to my existing trove - should that be my decision.

There are April 40 calls that are trading at about 1/2.
Why do you ask?

One last note, Bloomberg carried an article on
Jeff Vinik today, formerly Fidelity Magellan fund
manager, and he mentioned Rational Software as one
of the 4 or 5 technology stocks he has/had been
purchasing for his hedge fund. I wouldn't use that
as the sole reason to buy the stock however, as he
has in the past, talked up a stock publicly only to
sell into the copycat buying that was created.

Good luck to all. Peter.
