Colorado MEDtech Inc. announces second quarter and six-month results
BOULDER, Colo.--(BW HealthWire)--Feb. 10, 1997-- Colorado Medtech Inc , a Boulder-based medical products and services company, Monday announced results for its second quarter and six-month period ended Dec. 31, 1996.
Net income in the second quarter increased to $491,734 compared to $335,361 in the second quarter last year (an increase of 47 percent) and earnings per share increased to 5 cents per share compared to 4 cents per share after a 33 percent increase in the number of common equivalent shares outstanding on a fully diluted basis.
Sales in the second quarter increased approximately 17 percent over the same period in 1995 ($5.8 million compared to $4.9 million) and increased approximately 9 percent over the first quarter of fiscal 1996.
Net income through the six months ended Dec. 31, 1996 increased to $945,069 compared to $644,238 for the same period last year (an increase of 47 percent) on sales of $11.1 million compared to $9.1 million in the same period of the prior year. Earnings per share through the six months were $.10 compared to $.08 in the prior year after a 32 percent increase in the number of common equivalent shares outstanding on a fully diluted basis.
