Yes its the perception that Y2K business is in a downtrend that has created this sell off. Plus the lack luster Shareholders meeting did not make it any better.

But Perception can be misleading ! For example, in the SF Chronicle Newspaper it was reported that the State of California is only 20-40% compliant to Y2K.

Another good source of info is Ernst & Young, LLP , which have a very detailed analysis of the Y2K problem .
