Intel's circuit design is superior to AMD. Just ask Maxwell (a faithfully devoted AMD investor) about the speed paths. It takes good circuit design practice to come up with a low delayed speed path. So the chip can run at higher speed.

Well, the system architecture I cannot argue about that one. Remember. Intel is there to make money not introducing the optimal architecture to satisfy even the most hard-core computer users.

I don't believe Intel investors expect high profits from excellent process technology only. The ability to execute all the necessary steps to deliver a product into a consumer's hand and get the cash from the consumer has to be top-notch.

Intel can make money. AMD could do so too if its execution is as perfect as Intel's. So far, AMD's execution is far behind Intel's, and the stock prices do show this parity. The question is. If AMD has not been executing very well and learnt from its past mistakes in the past 20 years, how much confident do you have on this same AMD management?

ps. You should not invest in AMD because you think Intel is an evil empire. You invest in a company to make money. Don't get me wrong. I think AMD is a great investment if you know how to ride the wave. This is not a fundamentally sound company.
