Ed,

I don't know where people are getting the idea that Dell sells a few PCs on small networks for Mom and Pop businesses. I read a recent post where their SAN application would target small networks with a few servers. I don't know the distribution of NT servers and Optiplex PCs - but my best guess is that there are much larger setups and the need to incorporate mainframe data.

Just as an example, at my workplace there are easily hundreds and maybe thousands of Optiplexes on our LAN and I don't know how many NTs. Dell's installed base and distribution network will give them considerable leverage in this area.
