BRIEF: WCAP is a non-diversified investment company that
has elected to be regulated as a business development unit,
a type of closed end investment company. Using SBA funds,
WCAP lends to & makes investments in small businesses. For
the six months ended 9/98, total investment income fell 26%
to $426K. Net income totalled $7.4M vs. a loss of $822K.
Results reflect decreased earnings from invested idle funds,
offset by $7.9M in unrealized appreciation of investments.
