ED,

<<<Dell certainly defined their objectives quite well and they get to learn on the job on small networks.>>>

I believe this phase with Dell is for 'PRIVATE' loop only. Brocade had an edge over Ancor months ago. MKII and MKII (8-porter) should have both public and private loops support perfected now.

<<< Any updates on how you see the FC industry evolving.>>>

This is a loaded question. I have to run right now. Off the top of my head, I come up with some topics which I would like participations from all.

1. PC/NT

2. UNIX/midrange

3. Mainframe

4. Storage/server vendors, who's calling the shots and why.

5. Private/Public loops. What are the implications?

6. FC network management software. What roll do they play? MIBs......

7. What are enterprise IT managers thinking ?

8. Most importantly, what are Ancor's chances vs others? Where's the biggest bang for the buck?

I think it is enough for now. If we can collectively answer these questions, we will have a good understanding where Ancor will be.
