Neil,

I just got in SLB at 48. I plan on holding as oil will start to rise by YE and the plus far outweighs the downside. Gradually buying some undervalued or fairly valued stocks like this one, Mattel, Boeing, Borders to go along with my Ascends.

Looks like a great plan. I do think it is advisable to be looking for some undervalued non-tech plays, given the risk of FED tightening perhaps by 3Q99. Another oil (natural gas) play that I've had my eye on is RRC (Range Resources). It has edged up a bit from 2, but is still attractive.

You been watching Xyln? I have both that one and Fore, expecting takeover some time this year

Tech is dead. Long live Tech. I've been watching XYLN (and CIEN) and I've regretted having missed the most recent moves on both of them. FORE would have been a terrific buy at 12ish. I'm glad you are profitting!

Best,
Gary Korn
