Bezos was once asked what the ultimate goal of Amazon was, in terms of scope. He quipped, "It's the economy, Stupid!"
While some may think his visions are unrealistic, many believe he is the next Sam Walton, Thomas Edison, and Bill Gates all wrapped up into one.
Time will tell, but I am willing to put my money behind his vision. I missed the first ride from $3.00 to $199.00/share, but I'll be damned if I'm going to miss the next one.
Call me a fool, a dreamer, or just a crowd-follower. However, when I purchased my first book from Amazon, that was when I realized that ANYTHING could be bought on-line. I believe on-line IS a cheaper way to buy, and Wal-Mart did pretty well with their motto
"We Sell For Less"
Where Amazon stock will be 1, 100, or 1000 days from today, NO ONE knows (not even the know-it-alls on this thread). So I ignore anyone who says "Amazon is going up, down, sideways, or whatever in the future". Even Bezos does not know whether or not Amazon stock will be a good investment in the future.
