Jonsmith/G O : I just checked the activity on Xenotech and altho volume was low, the price is up again. Hey, has any of you managed to talk to someone at the company and any later findings, other than the one reproduced below? (please note this was a Nov '96 release)

Xenotech Technology enters Japanese Market Through Tomen Corporation

Calgary: Xenotech Inc is pleased to announce that it has entered into a project development agreement with one of Japan's Largest trading companies, Tomen Electronics Corporation. Tomen Corporation has offices worldwide with sales of US $61 Billion in 1995.

The agreement provides for Xenotech 3D technology to be introduced to Japanese manufacturers and presentations have already commenced. Over the next three months, the parties will be negotiating a formal joint venture agreement.

Xenotech has developed a range of 3D technology including:

- 3D display systems which function with both 2D and 3D signal input and do not require viewers to wear special glasses software processes for converting 2D films and videos into 3D

"We are very gratified that one of Japan's major corporations has recognised the market potential and uniqueness of our 3D technology" said Neil Speakman Chairman of Xenotech Inc. "this provides us with an enormous opportunity to introduce our technology into the Japanese market and to conclude licensing arrangements with Japanese electronics manufacturers," he added.

According to a joint statement by Mr Nagasaku, and Mr K Kaneko of Tomen Corp.," We are impressed by the range of exciting and unique technologies of Xenotech and we believe that Japanese companies will become major customers."

Applications for Xenotech technology are focussed on 3D displays for arcade games, theme parks and movie theatres wishing to exhibit films converted from 2D to 3D, cable television distributors and in the medical educational and tourism industries.

The agreement follows earlier licensing and strategic alliance arrangements which Xenotech has negotiated with Korea's Samsung Electronic Company Ltd, Carl Zeiss of Germany, Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad and with ETAB Data AB of Sweden which will utilise Xenotech 3D technology in its leading special effects software supplied to he major motion picture industry.
