Dear Jane: There is on the one hand a need to not understand , for as soldiers in the kings army we blindly follow the commands of the king; but on the other hand we are also royal ambassadors, conquoring agencies with a much greater and far more reaching agenda than obliterating the enemy.

First of all do we do real damage to our enemy. Of course we do. Though our battle ground is spiritual in nature you can rest assured that the damage is real. I look at the current battles going on as rear guard action or in another scope as skirmishes. First of all the great battles have already been fought and won. Christ accomplished this at calvary. But what of the armies. Think about it, God is in the business of redeeming the defeated soldiers. Were we not all working for the enemy before we came to Christ. This is what makes it so difficult. We are accepted as adversaries when we try to witness, past or present enemies depending on the perspective. But we are not. Our efforts are usually rebuffed; but then when the real intentions are revealed usually a friendly dialogue develops.

Take care and God Bless you and your family abundantly. I am also still praying for your son. In Christ.gregor
