If I don't go to the office, there are a lot of thing to do around the house, so either way, I should get off the computer and get to work. The thing that I find most daunting is raking the yard. That's "my" job, but I could't do it last year. From past experience, I can tell you that it will fill up about 100 of the 39 gallon lawn and leaf bags. Can't let it just lie there, it's all oak leaves, they won't decay for years, and the grass won't grow, we'll just have slime in the spring, and if there is a drought, it will turn to dust and blow away. But, I can't rake, now, because of the snow. And I am going back to Durham this weekend, so it will have to wait some more.
Since you are on-line and feeling talkative, I won't go just yet. How are your rhododendrons? I enjoyed your description of their blooms, and I guess you must live on the coastal part of Oregon if they are blooming now. Did you see any of the oil tanker being burned? |
