What I do is strap these little rakes on the backs of my two Basset Hounds, Fred (Fredrock, Mr. Fwed . . .) and Barney (Mr.Bumbaum, Barney Narney . . .)collectively: Das Oops. Anyway, you strap on these rakes so that they drag on the ground, then turn loose a cat, and watch the fun and raking begin. It helps to have a fenced yard as it structures their play, and focuses their work.
