Veridien Corp. doubles its production capacity
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 11, 1997--Veridien Corp. (Bulletin Board:VERD) has announced Tuesday that it has completed the design and installation of a new fill line in their St. Petersburg manufacturing facility.
The company expects that this additional line will more than double current productivity levels, meeting anticipated increases in product demand. This addition permits the filling of 2, 16 and 32 ounce bottles, sizes that have become popular and are quickly matching the demand for gallon sizes.
In an effort to manage costs and increase production efficiency, management decided to utilize existing facilities and eliminate contract filling of smaller sizes. In addition to filling Veridien's flagship disinfectant VIRAHOL(r), the lines' flexibility and compatibility also permits the filling of Veridien's new Vira-CD7(tm) disinfectant cleaner for floors and heavily contaminated surfaces and it's ready-to-use, rotational surface disinfectant Vira-RD12(tm), both of which were introduced to the healthcare and hospitality markets in 1996.
The need for increased production capacity and the addition of a new fill line was brought about by Veridien Corp.'s recent launch of its' Guest Care Program in the hospitality marketplace as well as the opening of its office and warehouse in Las Vegas.
Veridien Corp.'s augmented in house production capacity coupled with its strategic alliance agreement, results in the contract filling of approximately 50% of its hospitality market production by National Brands Inc. of Fountain Inn, S.C., the manufacturers of the Dow line of industrial products.
Based in St. Petersburg, Veridien Corp. is a manufacturer and distributor of a line of infection control products including VIRAHOL(r), a patented, EPA registered biodegradable and non-toxic, by OSHA standards, disinfectant.
