Thanks for the IDC story Brian. Excellent!

To follow on my earlier post regarding the annual report, it seems to me (just a guess) that the company will be scheduling any news releases to take place after the annual meeting on Feb. 24. Once the option exchange programme and new options are approved at strike prices of 4 and change and 6 5/8, there will be no further incentive to keep the stock price from rising, so perhaps the lid will come off following that date.

Also, their Web advertising calls "Livelink Search" 'the extreme search index'...so it looks as if, down the road, when the company decides to seriously begin marketing their search technology for general consumption they will just use the Livelink Search name and logo...and will tout the fact that theirs is the ONLY engine which indexes EVERY WORD on every Web document indexed by its spider.

I really do think this is more about marketing and alliances than about having a great search engine....let's hope there is a marketing push down the road, some good alliances, AND it won't hurt that in many respects their engine blows the doors off the competition.

I definitely see them coming back to the search engine fray in time, as was indicated in the annual report.
