Hewlett-Packard Co. will tighten its focus on electronic commerce by consolidating three groups into a single "eBusiness" entity, according to sources close to the company.
Several thousand employees from HP's (NYSE:HWP) Internet Software Business Unit, VeriFone Division, and Internet and Applications Systems Division will work in the new group. HP plans major shakeup of its PC business

It will be headed by Joe Beyers, currently general manager of the Internet Software Business Unit, and be a part of the Enterprise Computing Solutions Organization, a $15 billion group that includes most of HP's computer business.
