Cubby - there are all kinds of games that can be played by the MMs, but if they are extended too much, and the company is pissed off enough, the company can request an inventory of the Certs. I'm not a securities lawyer, so I'm not sure what's involved, but I've heard of it being done and it can be quite effective when there are a known number of shareholders holding more than the float available, and refuse to sell to the MMs!

This is why I posted for everybody to call their broker and request their Certs. This action ensures that brokers can't "loan" our Certs to those that are short. Brokers do this for a fee and make more money off of our investments.
