Nancy,
Didn't read the link yet but I can give you general feelings. I am in the computer business so I sort of have a little information.....
There will be problems, some minor, some major. Hopefully nothing that will hurt us for more than one week.
But I think God tells us to be prepared and always ready for the times. So my personal opinion, have extra food and water for two - four weeks, cash for at least to weeks, firewood to sustain heat in your home for at least a week or two (if you have the luxury of a fireplace or wood burning fireplace), fully gased automobiles and alternate places to go God forbid we lose electric and gas for any long periods of time and you need heat.
Do I think you'll need it all? No! But it doesn't hurt to be prepared.
I don't think the gloom and doom picture some are painting is really a fair assessment of the situation. Either do I think ignoring it is a Godly way of handling the situation either.....
God Bless, Steve
PS- Being we are on a stock board, all of my money will be pulled out of the market at least three months before the end of the year! Many countries outside the United States will be clobbered by Y2K. A lot of Europe ignored the problem, focusing on the Eurodollar development. And other countries like Russia and other weak economies just do not have the money to look into it or fix it! And when other economies go bad, unfortunately it will hurt the US economy! |
