When I meet someone new I can tell their approximate age when I'm blindfolded. The old coggers (jp's age and up) ask if I'm related to General Jimmy Doolittle. The middle agers (my age and down to about 35) wonder if I talk to the animals the way Rex Harrison did. Youngsters want to know if I'm related to Eddie Murphy. The answers are yes, yes and no. I once met a guy named Doolittle (not related) who said that when people asked him if he talked to the animals he had a standard answer. "Of course. I'm talking to you aren't I?" Arnie "Not a Doc" Doolittle a.k.a. Arnie "Not a Pseudo Doc" Doolittle P.S. My son loves animals and I tried to get him to go to vet school. I told him we could open up a chain of Dr. Doolittle's Vet Clinics. He could do the doctoring and I'd do the management. We would have had a dynamic business without advertising a penny. Who wouldn't identify with Dr. Doolittle's Vet Clinics? Who knows, maybe even jp would have bought a few shares.
