I admit it, I played hookey. I was trying to see if we could hit the Hot List, but we didn't even come close. I still have hope. The bad news is, they can't give my father's wife monoclonal antibodies because the tumor was too close to important parts of the brain. The good news is that I don't have to go back to Durham this weekend. God, I am selfish. Aaanyway, the lesson to be learned from watching someone else die is carpe that old diem. And don't let anyone tell you different.

I took the kids to see "My Favorite Martian" tonight, even though they didn't really do their homework first, although they said they did. We did not eat a nutritious supper, we had hot dogs and popcorn with that disgusting imitiation butter oil, and cokes.

I intend to eat a hot fudge sundae tomorrow. Even better than that, I intend to take the kids to the frozen custard stand and have hot turtle sundaes, which is hot fudge, hot caramel, and hot chopped pecans on top of frozen custard, with whipped cream on top. For supper, I intend to have lobster. Possibly more than one.
