yes...please don't feed the village idiot, it sends mixed messages confuses him even more than he already is. Noticably more y2k information in the local and regional print and electronic media lately. The most obvious change to me, besides the increased amount and regularity, is the total change in tone. I'm am feeling somewhat encouraged to see more straightforward coverage and discussion. Our responsibility as a civilized and humane society is to the welfare and protection of the most vulnerable among us. Those who, through no fault of their own, face the greastest exposure to potential risks from the least of disruptions deserve to be kept safe from harm and fear. Denial will be of no use to them. Hard work, appropriate support preparations, and as clear a view as possible of what may happen is the least we owe them.
