eCom eCom.com Acquires Swap and Shop

RIVIERA BEACH, FLORIDA -- February 26, 1999 -- eCom eCom.com, inc. announced the acquisition of the "Swap and Shop" web site, the latest addition to its new Trading Club concept. The Trading Club is a full-service on-line trading facility. Swap and Shop enables Trading Club members to post notices of items that they would like to trade for other goods. With this added ability to swap their goods, Club members are now armed with three different venues for personal electronic commerce - a silent auction, a newspaper classified advertising format and the new forum for swapping.

Under development is a store front that provides an opportunity for visual display of merchandise offered for sale at a set price. This virtual store would be available to all Trading Club members, but it is expected to be particularly attractive to small business customers. Company officials also indicated that they are planning to experiment with a live auction conducted via the Internet.

Following the addition of the virtual store, the company plans to initiate an extensive advertising campaign to build consumer awareness of the Trading Club. The ad campaign will highlight the advantages of the Trading Club compared to popular web sites such as eBay and Yahoo's auction site. Likely to be emphasized is the Club's broader array of trading options and the affordability and simplicity of the club membership approach. An annual membership fee of $36 earns Club members the right to unlimited use of all Trading Club venues.

The Trading Club is located at www.ecomecom.com.
