EDUV: Just starting to get attention.

Here's a company that really looks like it could take off once it gets the spotlight it deserves. Eduverse is a technology-based company focused on developing and marketing educational software products. The nice thing about this company is the large amount of information available, and the fact that their investment relations staff is so accessible. Here's why I like them for both short and long term investments:

They have a new web portal to open March 15 called TheGlobalStore.net. The IR department says major news will be released either 2/26/99 or 3/1/99 (Fri. or Mon.).

Check out their current sites:
freeenglish.net - free online English instructional courses for non-native speakers. This is their BIG one. Currently, freeENGLISH.net receives over 200,000 hits per day -- and the site has only been up a matter of months. Banner ads will soon bring in over 50% of Eduverse's revenue. Read below to get more details.

eduverse.com - featuring their top-selling instructional English software

eduversity.com - an online technology computer-based training station

Here's a quick breakdown of what the company does. The following was taken directly from EDUV press releases:

In defining the educational model for the new millennium, EDUVERSE has launched freeENGLISH.net. freeENGLISH.net is a vertical web site devoted exclusively to providing the finest in English language instruction for FREE to the Internet-enabled marketplace. At the heart of freeENGLISH.net is freeENGLISH, a premium English as a Second Language (ESL) program. The freeENGLISH application streams lessons and advertisements over the Internet.

EDUVERSE has also opened EDUVERSITY.net, the company's Corporate Workplace University, with hundreds of online courses ranging from Finance, Languages and Softskills to Desktop Computing, Graphic Design and the Internet.

EDUVERSITY also features 38 Microsoft Certified courses and 30 Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) courses.

EDUVERSE has announced the opening of TheGlobalStore.net, the company's e-commerce Internet portal, with over 131,000 popular software and hardware products available for sale. Through reseller and affiliate programs, TheGlobalStore.net will also offer online shoppers a choice of brand name products and services including books, music CDs, toys, movies, foods, travel and more. TheGlobalStore.net is expected to open on March 15, 1999.

By combining the highest quality in educational course curriculum with an advanced learning process known as Mental Mapping (TM), Eduverse produces English Pro - a software program with award-winning technology proven to teach anyone spoken English up to 5 times quicker, regardless of their native tongue.

In identifying future opportunities within the rapidly-emerging distance education market, Eduverse has also committed its leading-edge technical expertise to the development of proprietary software called EVOVE. EVOVE is a 100% pure Java programming environment that allows a single application to deliver educational course curriculum across a multitude of operating systems and hardware platforms.

Eduverse is now positioned to become a global leader in the "English as a second language" (ESL) and distance learning marketplace. English as a second language is a $75 - 100 billion industry worldwide. An estimated 85% of all international business is conducted in English.

Distance learning - a method of delivering course material - is estimated to represent a $600 billion industry worldwide.
