How 'bout that.....advocacy coupled with reason! I hope you experience promotions in your work.

I was one of your AOL folks who didn't.....but the arrogance with which they implemented their program and the rapid deterioration of service immediately following persuaded me that this temptation had no future so I chucked it. It is funny. One might liken Steve Case to the idiot who fired his gun in the middle of a herd and is now scrambling for his life in his own stampede. It is the price of his irrational exhuberance I suppose.

It sounds as though you might have the background to shed some light on the distinction between costs associated with POTS local loops as opposed to Internet backbone traffic i.e. overload sourced busy signals (as opposed to not enough ISP lines busy signals) vs slow page loads. I shouldn't think that the costs of routers and such necessary to Internet digital traffic belongs in the rate base for local lines. Wouldn't those be recovered in private charges ISP's pay to companies which provide access to the backbone?

Best Regards......Tom
