NEMDACO/GULFPAC J.V. Gets Second Oil Development License and Permit from the Malaysian Government
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Nemdaco Inc today announced that NEMDACO ENERGY RESOURCES/GULFPAC-SKKPJ (TANAH MERAH) DEVELOPMENT SDN BHD joint venture has received a license from the Malaysian Government to build and operate a 120,000 bd oil refinery in Malaysia. Previously NER GULFPAC/SKKPJ had received a permit for an exclusive oil field exploration and development prospect in Malaysia.
Tom Bowers, NEMDACO ENERGY RESOURCES/GULFPAC'S Chairman, said that the Government of Malaysia is actively encouraging the Joint Venture participation of foreign companies with Malaysian Nationals in keeping with Malaysian Vision 2020 policy.
Paul C. McCann, the Company's President and COO, was pleased to state that the Company has appointed Mr. Allen G. Hatley as Director of Exploration and Development for all East Asian projects. His responsibilities include contract operations and oil field data management. Mr. Hatley is a forty year veteran of oil exploration and development projects in Southeast Asia, Middle East, Africa and Latin America. Before joining Gulfpac, Mr. Hatley was a private Consultant and Advisor to the oil industry, the Director for Asia for Cities Service Oil Corporation. Managing the Company affairs in the Philippines, Singapore and Indonesia.
