******** Cup and Handle formation Example ............ Webster asked me yesterday to draw an example of a cup and handle formation for future reference.... nasdaq.com This is ESST, put in a "cup and handle" between Oct 11 and Dec 11. Note this was in the middle of the bull move up, as it is a continuation pattern. The standard TA name for this type of chart was an Uptrend Triangle. Cup and Handles are slightly different however, in that they pull back less after hitting the resistence line. This formation is one of the most reliable a stock chart can make. KH.
