Triffin - Great post on "opportunity costs" Jumping in during the excitement can be costly. I've made that mistake a few times. I now wait for bargains in position plays so the downside risk is low. I am also trying to gather and become familiar with a watch list so i know when something is at a low price, and has a story or upcoming milestones. I've sworn never again to buy on a run-up, especially before the open. It's frustrating to miss out, but much more frustrating to lose...........
