Hi Bernie, According to the folks over on the VLSI thread, this may not be over yet! They're talking about possible competitive bids for the company. The reason is that VLSI's book value is about $12 and their cash on hand is nearly $8. The Philips bid is just about twice CASH and less than 1.5 Book Value.

In any case, my Net Worth just took a jump! The stock's trading in the $15s as we speak. I started buying VLSI at about $8 in 1990 and have had several Lichello RollerCoaster rides to the mid $30s along the way. So, I've just gone from profitable to more profitable. Wait until later today, I'll put VLSI up as our "poster boy" of the week!!!

Let's see. How about a seminar in the Caymans in March or April? About 1 hour of lecture per day and the rest of the time is "OPEN" for exploring the reefs! If we had 7 presenters, that means a week! Hmmmm, maybe we need 14 presenters! Are you ready, Bernie?

Best regards, Tom
