Kory -- with all due respect anyone who thinks THQ has ever gotten any respect and true value from the street has not been in it very long. I have held THQ since late 1996 or early 1997 (long enough to not remember exactly when I got in). Yes the stock had a 3 for 2 split during that period -- and yes I have a 400% or so gain over the 2 years I have held the stock. So I have nothing to complain about. But I can state categorically that the stock has rarely traded anywhere near its fair value compared to every other stock in its industry -- all of whom on a fundamental basis (earnings growth etc) it has outperformed. Having lived through the ups and downs of THQ -- and having held through all of them -- I agree with you that those who buy here and hold will be rewarded -- probably with a $40 or so stock price by the end of the year -- but that doesn't change the fact that that price would easily be fair value for the stock today. We are growing much faster than ERTS, yet ERTS has a PE of nearly 40 -- the highest PE I ever remember seeing THQ at is 35 and that was for a matter of days -- today we are beating ERTS on Earnings, Earnings growth, games in top 20, etc -- yet ERTS still has that PE of 40 and we have a PE in the teens if that. Yes fair value and what the value the market places on a stock are two different things -- but the market has rarely if ever given THQ its fair value. Anyone who is a long term holder knows that -- and yes most know to no longer be frustrated by it (at least not for longer than a quarter or two) <g>
