The price was too high for T before and what is AOL now maybe 4x what it was.

Perhaps lost opportunity but I'd like to think that T knows not to buy at the top.

AOL has the internet market now, but the future may or may not be theirs. With T controlling the wires, it won't take much to add the content cheaply.

Does anyone really think that aol can't be passed. The most important growth factor for aol has been its "community" which is very loyal, but add wide band video chatting and porn to T - TCI and you have a huge potential to eat into aol for a lot cheaper price than buy or merge as "equals".
