It looks like these two companies are in the process of putting together a platform for "distance learning". I would think that this would be in direct competition with our E-School, which uses HyperTv as it's platform.

I don't think their use of the phrase "distance learning" and our use of the phrase "distance learning" mean the same thing. Our distance learning is an interactive thing focused at schools and such. For them, envision a company with several video training tapes or video tapes of demos, and the same company has offices across the globe. Would be nice to get all this video into one central repository so that everyone could have access to it, and also have the video in a database so that someone could search for it and find it even if they didn't know it existed.

They mean "distance learning" as in someone in a different office has access to my office's training materials... thus they are "learning" at a distance. At least, this is my read.

Two completely different problems, in my book.

I could be wrong, but at least when I was there (2 years ago, a long time in this industry), TEAMS wasn't focusing on anything interactive or even considering it. It's just a database (with a cool front end).
