Sanford Bernstein, Paul Sagawa initiates coverage of LU today with a BUY and price target of $140.00. He is very positive on ASCEND/LU merger being accretive by as much as 12 c in 2000. He estimtes LU to make 2.43 in 1999 and 3.05 in 2000. It is trading 32 times 2000 estimates. Overall a positive report. This fellow has good understanding of ASCEND's business. He has been calling right on ASND. BR
