Loronix Introduces an Affordable Photo ID Card System to the Mass Distribution and Internet Markets
Instant ID Lets Users Create High-Quality Photo ID Cards Using an Existing Inkjet or Laser Printer
DURANGO, Colo., Feb. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Loronix Information Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: LORX - news) announced today that it has released Instant ID(TM) and Instant ID Complete to the mass distribution market. Loronix has partnered with Digital River (Nasdaq: DRIV - news); System ID Warehouse; Tiger Direct, a subsidiary of Global DirectMail Corp (NYSE: GML - news); and Sam's Club, a division of Wal-Mart Stores (NYSE: WMT - news) to distribute the Instant ID product line.
Instant ID allows users to produce high-quality color digital ID cards instantly. The images and data are stored in a database, which provides instant retrieval of data for card re-issuance. Users who have a PC, printer, digital camera and card laminator need only purchase the Instant ID software, which has a suggested retail price of $199. An optional Instant ID Complete package comes with Instant ID software, a USB digital camera, card laminator, and supplies for a suggested retail price of $499. Either way, consumers will save hundreds of dollars on supplies alone versus outdated cut-and-paste laminate systems.
''Instant ID has been in development for some time now and is ideal for mass distribution,'' explained Instant ID Distribution Product Managers Steve DiMartino and Karsten Andersen. ''We chose software e-commerce provider Digital River, retail catalog providers Tiger Direct and System ID Warehouse, and wholesaling giant Sam's Club to give the product mass distribution exposure, and we are pleased to become a software vendor with these establishments.'' |
