El: Still in the dark as to what CPQ actually said and in what context. For example, how many analysts did they speak to and if more than ML and BB why are the others not out yelling "Fire".

If CPQ said what ML and BB said they said and if they have interpreted it correctly then it is hard to see how other analysts can avoid lowering earnings expectations. This might still allow them to maintain rating and even upgrade rating on a valuation basis. I remember that even Kumar recommended CPQ in the mid to high 30's.

If there are more lowered earnings and even downgrades, I doubt that they will have a very marked affect on the stock. Today's effect was pretty radical.
