Gary, Where is gbh when we need him to kick around? <g> He told me that Compaq was bragging that this quarter was going great. Actually, gbh was perfectly correct. Compaq was saying things were going great. The only problem is, you can't believe a touty word those hoseheads say. Gee, I'm glad to see that services are doing well. As mentioned before many times, I expect CPQ to continue to use some "sharp pencil accounting" in the services area to make up for lousy pc sales. It looks like the pencil sharpeners will be roaring this quarter. <g> I wonder if stuffing the channel has anything to do with poorer business this quarter? Nah, they said they didn't do that. Then they said they didn't do it that much. <g> MB
