"Please note that topical to the previous discussion on this thread, Singapore is practically ALL middle class." And has an ironman leader who is dedicated to it. Which seems to my challenged mind to strongly suggest that if there is a government which is dedicated to that end, it can and will be achieved. I know Singapore only from a few articles that I have (usually hastily) read over the years, so would like to hear from more knowledgeable threadheads about what costs (political, social) this "practically all middle class" Asian country may have paid for its status.
