Talked with CFO. Most of the trials will be completed in March. Results of trials will be out in April, or more likedly May (maybe June).
So there will not be presentations of this technology at a FEB or Mar. cardiology conference. Asked about ease of use. Said technicians really like the instrument,,, and he went into that at length. I was surprised that they intend to manufacture the instrument . Most of the stuff is off the shelf. The software and electrodes seem to be the proprietary items. I think he said the electrodes are manufactured by someone else. There does not seem to be anyone else working on this area. The Jan 1994 study is the biggest one to date. Wondered how they were going to get the heart rate up to measure the alternans waves. They are using a stationary bike and are working on a treadmill. The noise from the bike has been worked out.

Very dry conversation and he tried to keep any excitement out of his voice. Pilot studies done before the the big studies now underway confirmed the 1994 study. Certain diseases that predisposed to arrthymias had the predictive alternans waves, and apparently they predicted sudden death to a similar high degree as before. If things go as expected, the company should be profitible late 1998.

They seem to be on track. Higher risk than Igen. Similar potential.
