The way I would like to see it play out:

1. Big Al says nope but doesn't close the door totally. Stock price goes down to somewhere between 13 and 14, and I buy.
2. Philips counters or somebody else (I really don't care who) makes an offer sweeter than 17 and I decide what to do based on what it is.

Right now, my Jan 2000 LEAPS (@$10) are worth 6 with VLSI trading at slightly over 15. Every dollar on the upside is significant bucks in my wallet.

If it's 17, then that's what it is. 20 and over is a go as far as I'm concerned.
